Tips for your purchase
Buying a caravan is very easy - it is making the right choice that can be the difficult part. There are many sites in the Benidorm area and each one has different virtues to suit all the varying needs. Finding the right site means a visiting all of them, looking at each and asking questions. Think about the sites position taking into account walking distance to the shops and amenities, is it on a regular bus route, are cars allowed on site. Is there 24 hour security at the entrance and night watchmen on duty around the site. Check the cleanliness of the facilities such as the showers, the roadways and the general ambiance of the site. Is the site quiet or noisy and buy on the one that suits.
Once you have found the site, look at the caravans available. Think about what you will be using it for and get the size that is best for your requirements. If you are only a couple buying you will not necessarily need a huge one. The caravan does usually end up being a bedroom only, and as the plots are mainly a standard size, you do not want the whole plot taken up by a caravan and have no seating area outside.
The position of the plot can have a bearing on whether it will be good for the sun. If you are over in the winter to catch the sun, check where the sun rises and falls. Remember it is a lot lower in the sky in the winter and getting the sun on the awning most of the day can be a great boost for warmth in the evenings at home. A cold plot will be dearer to heat.

Narrowing the selection down and looking at those that fit your above criteria, can save you time and wasted effort. That first impression on walking through the door that is the main selling point. The usual first words on walking through a certain door, will be “I like this one” and that is usually “The Right One” for you. If it doesn’t get the sun you want, don’t buy it because of the looks. There are enough available for you to find the perfect one for all your personal needs.

Each one has it’s own suitability for which it will be ideal for whereas put into another scenario and it will be totally out of it’s comfort zone. Put in simple terms - buying one as you like the look of the size and then find it is too long to tow around, will be an expensive mistake. Don’t be led astray by the looks. The larger caravans are Tabbert’s, Hobby’s, LMC’s and Roma's. They are popular as they are comfortable for family holidays and are a minimum of four berth’s. Smaller caravans are still suitable for living in but will have limited space for storage and may feel cramped if you are having lots a visitors. However, being smaller it does give more outside space which is ideal as you will find the caravan is just a bedroom and you will live outside more due to the far better climatic conditions throughout the year.
The awnings can vary greatly in their furnishings. Many are fitted out with all the modern appliances and facilities. The sites usually pipe in English TV so you do not miss out on many of the home comforts you are used to, making it very easy to follow the slow relaxed Spanish way of life. It is not hard to change the furnishings, so do not buy just because you like the sofa and do not like the quiet position under the trees. Buy thinking “Location, Location, Location”. That is the most important hint anyone can give.
